We’re ready to kick off another month of music!
This month we are going to be playing in a new town at an entirely new kind of venue for us. The first two Thursdays of the month we will appear at The Acorn Inn of Elon as part of their Front Porch Music series. I’m excited to be doing these concerts, and I think it will be a perfect venue for our music. There will be wine and beer tasting, as well as complimentary hors d’ouevres.
We will be playing at the Carrboro Music Festival for the first time at the end of the month. So happy to be part of this historic yearly event.
Now that the weather is cooling down a little, we are going to resume playing at Milltown in Carrboro on Sunday evenings. Come listen to us play while enjoying their extensive craft beer list and solid gastropub fare.
And speaking of solid venues in Carrboro, we are switching to Wednesdays at The Station, and moving our set to an hour later. The booking will be sporadic at first, but beginning in November we will be playing every Wednesday except for the first Wednesday of the month. My degree in mathematics tells me that for most months, that will be three Wednesdays- a 50% increase in the number of times that we get to play at The Station.
Also looking forward to playing at The Standard, The Oxford, 2nd Wind, Solas with Kevin Van Sant, Travinia with my buddy Jim Ferris, and g2b with the incomparable Noah Powell. Oh yeah- don’t forget to dust off your instrument and come sit in on Monday nights at the jam session at The Blue Note Grill, where dotCombo is the house band!
